The news that HSBC has posted yet another record level of profit, along with the other big banks, rubs salt once again into the wounds of the long-suffering and exploited customer.
Not content with levying obscene transaction charges and overdraft fees - often on those least able to afford them - the banks persist with the highly profitable rip-off of ‘clearing’ delays.

I have today made an electronic transfer from my bank to another. The cash has immediately gone from my account but will not arrive at its destination for at least four days. In the meantime the banks have the use of it - free of charge, of course - to further inflate their profits.

This outdated and fraudulent practice must cease.

Please email your name via the link below and you will be added to the list of protestors. When enough people have registered, the list will be sent to the banking ombudsman in an effort to curtail the greed of our banking system and to put us, the customers, in control of our own money.
